Trying out some ideas.. I've always wanted to do some interior design in 3D, but I found most of the advanced software too complicated to get started with. So I started with a simpler one, Live Interior 3D. It's quite easy, although it could have a lot bigger libraries. Maybe as I get used to it, I'll manage to tweak the items more to my liking.
This is the first try, a warm cozy dressing room.
What is most typical of Finland... Lakes and nature... forests, pine trees, rocks, moss.. This house is surrounded by it!
Must be my favorite apartment. It was right on the sea shore on a small island in Helsinki, with an amazing view. And an indoor completely private small yard, perfect for barbecuing, sunbathing, taking break from the hot sauna..
On this day we managed to lock ourselves out... And it wasn't too hot outside, it was pretty late autumn. Luckily we had keys to a car and cell phones, so we could call the owner and get keys from him that way.
Back to bathroom obsessions... Why are we so obsessed with bathrooms? It's practically the room we spend the least amount of time in the house. Normally. Unless you have an amazing bathtub, jacuzzi, TV, or who knows what else... Well, I think some of these photos might explain a little why we love bathrooms so much.
Took me a while to see it, that IS a sink there, made of stone, in the photo below. Quite lovely, I must say! Or the bathtub near the window to the inner yard. I can see myself spending couple of hours there, reading. And of course, the glass walls. I wrote a previous post about my favorite glass walled bathroom a couple of weeks back.
Enjoy!

Now this first one almost has my name on it! I love it!! I've always wanted windows the size of the walls, especially in the living-room area... Of course, in that case, it would be preferable to have a lot of lush vegetation in the vicinity of the house, and perhaps not live at the Polar circle, to have constant light in the summer months. Because you need that large TV screen to watch movies every now and then, and it's not so nice with sun shining inside. Not that there's too much danger of sunshine in the North.
I love that chair also, I could see myself sitting in it reading a novel and swinging gently..
I wonder how much the heating bill would be for such a spacious living room. And how many Beagle nose prints I would have all over those windows!
How about this one? Bringing nature literally INSIDE? It looks pretty amazing and it would be perfectly fine by me, as long as there would be any extra inhabitants, like small mice, bugs or spiders!
