When selling your home, ensuring that you do everything in your power to enhance its appeal and decrease its time on the market is vital.
Gone are the days when buying a home involved picking up a newspaper with classified ads and browsing through them and making tons of phone calls; or hiring a a to a realtor to do that for you. Back then all ads were text and no pictures were available. The digital age has propelled advancements in the way that the real estate industry operates, and now buyers have access to high-quality images of houses in their price range at the simple click of a button.
Professional real estate photography is a powerful tool that is crucial for the successful sale of any home. Although DIY-culture is increasingly popular in this day and age, leaving something as important real estate photography up to an amateur can hinder the sale of any home.
Professional real estate photos can make a huge difference for your listing, as you can see in the before and after images below. In this particular case, I also helped by staging the apartment a little, since it was completely empty and it's important to create a sense of proportion and a home-y feeling. The kitchen being brand new and of very good quality, I focused more on that.

This was a one room space saving apartment, perfect for one person. The bed was a folding wall bed, Murphy style and the room had a little corner for a small desk. And of course, a small, romantic balcony.
This beauty was right next to the gorgeous red building in the next photo, which is a historical Fire Department. It was Runberg Day and I am glad I was able o frame the Finnish flag in the picture; Johan Ludvig Runeberg (5 February 1804, Jakobstad – 6 May 1877, Porvoo) was a Finno-Swedish poet, and is considered the national poet of Finland. Every 5th of February, Finland celebrates the anniversary of Johan Ludvig Runeberg by raising the flags and eating a delicious... Runeberg torte.
The apartment was beautiful and bright, but my favourite was the wall decal with "welcome" in many languages. The different fonts and placing it in the hallway really made the flat feel very warm and personal.

Continuing an earlier blog post, here are some more beauties from a gorgeous and bright apartment on the sea shore in Helsinki.
It started off as a very dull and cloudy day, but after a couple of hours, the clouds cleared and the sun came out. And because it was an autumn day, the colors of the trees in front of the flat looked completely unreal.

One of the most beautiful apartments I have taken photos of was this luxury apartment on the sea shore in Helsinki. I loved the interiors and I tried to organise things so that I can make it look as cozy and comfortable as possible. Just perfect for the viewer to picture himself living in it!
Very bright, the photography part was not extremely difficult, except to try and not burn the highlights completely and bring out some of the shadows at the same time. I had just bought a new lens for this photoshoot and I think it worked excellent.
The photos are taken with Canon 6D + 24-105mm lens and 17-40mm lens.
