I just love open space kitchens. Actually I am no longer a huge fan of doors... My dream house/apartment would be quite open. Perhaps a door on the bedroom. And glass walls on the private master bedroom's bathroom.
Otherwise, just give me SPACE. And a nice view. Like this one:
Wouldn't that be just the perfect view to see first thing when you open your door? And it's on an island... In Helsinki. What can be better?
A small house on two floors, in the gorgeous nature of Kauniainen, right near Helsinki. I love the design of the water tap in the master bathroom and the very high open dining room area near the kitchen. Very bright and spacious feeling.
What is most typical of Finland... Lakes and nature... forests, pine trees, rocks, moss.. This house is surrounded by it!
Now this first one almost has my name on it! I love it!! I've always wanted windows the size of the walls, especially in the living-room area... Of course, in that case, it would be preferable to have a lot of lush vegetation in the vicinity of the house, and perhaps not live at the Polar circle, to have constant light in the summer months. Because you need that large TV screen to watch movies every now and then, and it's not so nice with sun shining inside. Not that there's too much danger of sunshine in the North.
I love that chair also, I could see myself sitting in it reading a novel and swinging gently..
I wonder how much the heating bill would be for such a spacious living room. And how many Beagle nose prints I would have all over those windows!
How about this one? Bringing nature literally INSIDE? It looks pretty amazing and it would be perfectly fine by me, as long as there would be any extra inhabitants, like small mice, bugs or spiders!
Sometimes it is all you need... Especially around Christmas. Relax, take a cup of warm mint tea and lie down. Whether on a soft sofa with lots of cushions, or in a hot sauna, in which case you might take a cold Coca Cola from the fridge...
Yes, that is my Beagle :)
It always looks so much better when there are a few objects scattered around a place, it makes it more warm and gives the person who views the photographs an idea to the size of the rooms and flat.

It's winter outside. Right now -16°C, with a real feel of -25°C. What else would you need than a nice warm blanket, a real fireplace and a skylight?
