A few weeks ago I had a photo session in a small bakery in Tallinn centre, called De Vos. What is usually a café was set up as a perfect spot for a birthday party or company event celebration. My favourites were the photos in candle light.
Empty flats are always quite tricky. They need a bit of extra effort. Or sweets; and some green details; oh, and some cute lights!
The splash of colors really brought it to life, on an otherwise quite dull and gray autumn day.

The old part of Tallinn centre is so charming and there are so many cool locations in every single building. Most of which you would maybe not guess from the street. Such was this elegant restaurant on the main street of the medieval part of town.
I loved their small glass decorations hanging from the ceiling. They gave a nice separation feeling between the tables.
And to not forget you are in a medieval part of town, there was the old passageway with a small door, right next to a romantic two-person table.
This beauty was right next to the gorgeous red building in the next photo, which is a historical Fire Department. It was Runberg Day and I am glad I was able o frame the Finnish flag in the picture; Johan Ludvig Runeberg (5 February 1804, Jakobstad – 6 May 1877, Porvoo) was a Finno-Swedish poet, and is considered the national poet of Finland. Every 5th of February, Finland celebrates the anniversary of Johan Ludvig Runeberg by raising the flags and eating a delicious... Runeberg torte.
The apartment was beautiful and bright, but my favourite was the wall decal with "welcome" in many languages. The different fonts and placing it in the hallway really made the flat feel very warm and personal.

Continuing an earlier blog post, here are some more beauties from a gorgeous and bright apartment on the sea shore in Helsinki.
It started off as a very dull and cloudy day, but after a couple of hours, the clouds cleared and the sun came out. And because it was an autumn day, the colors of the trees in front of the flat looked completely unreal.

One of the most beautiful apartments I have taken photos of was this luxury apartment on the sea shore in Helsinki. I loved the interiors and I tried to organise things so that I can make it look as cozy and comfortable as possible. Just perfect for the viewer to picture himself living in it!
Very bright, the photography part was not extremely difficult, except to try and not burn the highlights completely and bring out some of the shadows at the same time. I had just bought a new lens for this photoshoot and I think it worked excellent.
The photos are taken with Canon 6D + 24-105mm lens and 17-40mm lens.
